NIIT University hosts SPIC-MACAY-presented play – ‘Raj Rakt’ by Naya Theatre

NIIT University hosted a SPIC-MACAY event on August 20th 2024. The popular play – Raj-Rakt – based on Tagore’s Visarjan and Rajarshi, was presented by Naya Theatre in the Auditorium.
The play highlights the tussle between established religious practices and humane consciousness. It revolves around an incident when a king, Govind Manikya, issues a royal decree to ban all animal sacrifices on seeing the trauma experienced by a young boy witnessing the ritual of a goat being sacrificed to please the goddess. The priest, Raghupati, does his best to break the royal decree. The priest’s adopted son, Jai Singh, is caught in a dilemma between his loyalty to his guru and the goddess and his respect for the king.

Mr Krishan Kumar Jalan, former IAS Officer, Haryana cadre delivered an impactful talk on “Micro and Small Enterprises: Role of Government and Opportunities Available” in the NU Auditorium on March 19 2024 at 11:30 am. The event was attended by students and faculty in large numbers. The Question & Answer session at the end saw a number of interesting questions raised by both students and faculty which were answered effectively and in an interesting manner by the speaker.

Celebrating Republic Day 2024: Revisiting values of Oneness, Peace, and Harmony

On 26th January 2024, the campus was adorned with the vibrant colors of the Indian flag, fluttering proudly in the gentle breeze. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in the bowl area, brimming with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, accompanied by the stirring strains of the national anthem, echoing across the campus. A series of cultural performances followed, showcasing the rich diversity and heritage of India, from traditional dances to melodious musical renditions. Thought-provoking speeches were delivered, emphasizing the values of democracy, unity, and progress. The event culminated in a collective pledge to uphold the ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution, inspiring everyone present to contribute towards the nation’s growth and development. There was an online quiz regarding the genesis and importance behind the special day in which everyone participated enthusiastically.
