Other events
We have something for everyone
Apart from the large-scale events and inter-college festivals, NIIT University (NU) organises a host of events for NUtons and members of the adjoining Neemrana community. Take a look at some of the most engaging cultural events you can participate in.
Van Mahotsav
Each year, on July 28th, NU organises a massive tree plantation drive in the Aravali hills. This afforestation programme, conducted in close collaboration with the local community, is reflective of NU’s commitment to ecological resurrection around the Campus.
Rath Mahotsav
Staying in touch with our roots keeps us grounded and self-aware. NU organises an annual Rath Mahotsav on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Festival celebrations
Have festival, will celebrate. We celebrate all festivals at NU with equal gusto. After all, that’s what families do. And sometimes, the surrounding communities join us to partake of the sumptuous feasts.
Annual photography exhibition
Organised by NU’s photography society, NU Instills, the exhibition zooms in on select pictures captured by NUtons across the NU campus, in the wilderness of the adjoining Aravali ranges, as well as during periodic photography tours.
Kavishala
Each semester, members of the poetic society, NU Kavishala, recite their beautiful creations at the annual Kavishala. Fancy an evening filled with heart-rending sonnets? Head on here!
Annual Hult prize
The Hult Prize Foundation is a global learning platform that enables the new generation to deliver social change through education and entrepreneurship. Presented by the Hult International Business School, the Hult Prize OnCampus provides students a chance to deliver social change and make a global impact through their startup ideas. The event is organised by students at NU and witnesses widespread participation by NUtons who present a range of unique ideas aimed towards social welfare. The winning team represents NU in the regional round, held across various destinations across the globe.
International Yoga Day
The university celebrates International Yoga Day every year on 21st June with the entire Neemrana community. To commemorate the significance of Yoga, faculty members and NUtons congregate to practice different asanas in order to inculcate within the community an appreciation for this deep-rooted cultural practice.
Annual arts exhibition
The annual arts exhibition, led by the NU Vividha, showcases NUton’s various creations on a single platform. Students and faculty members join the artists to take a closer look at some thought-provoking and skilful artworks beautifully executed by the members.
Annual play
The university’s theatre club, NU Rangmanch, organises and enacts a play every year at the time of Annual Lecture, for their peers and faculty members. From social issues, classics, to original creations, the writers and actors’ thought-provoking dramaturgy always leaves NUtons spellbound.
