Facilities and Benefits
We have you covered
NU’s Industry-linked programmes are unique and one-of-its-kind in the country. As a faculty member, your exposure to these programmes will help you develop new industry-oriented courses to complement traditional curriculum.
These courses aid your professional development as well. For example, the tie-up with ICICI Bank for our 5-year integrated MBA programme (April 2011 – October 2016) to train middle managers spawned the careers of many of NU’s faculty members.
NU’s academic ecosystem nurtures academic leaders who can take their place on the leadership team and on various industry and institutional bodies such as academic councils, industry advisory boards, research advisory boards, etc.
Your experience will help in institution building and in charting the university’s future direction.
NU encourages faculty members to undertake research that contributes to building a corpus of scientific knowledge and helps mitigate societal challenges. As faculty member, you will be:
- Awarded monetary rewards for journal publications (as per NU’s Journal Publication Reward Policy)
- Provided financial support to attend national and international conferences
- Provided grants (seed money) to initiate research
- Encouraged to submit research proposals to funding agencies
NU prides itself on offering a workplace ecosystem that provides not only a wide range of opportunities for professional development but also an atmosphere that is conducive to inspiring creativity and a sense of well-being.
To that end, NU offers monthly faculty workshops and hosts regular visits by eminent thought leaders and domain experts for a vigorous exchange of ideas. NU faculty also has access to advanced and synchronous teaching-learning technology as well as access to online software that seamless integrates administrative, teaching and assessment tasks for greater convenience and reduced paperwork.
Apart from this, our serene campus and faculty accommodation, with access to dining halls and gyms, help ease the pressures of life and encourages faculty members to do what they do best – teach and learn.
