NIIT University hosted a dialogue on Water – Neemrana Jal Samvad – a Rajasthan state level special water dialogue. The event was organized by the Central Ground Water Board , RIICO , and Neemrana Industries Association .The one-day public dialogue on deep groundwater depletion in Neemrana was held on January 29, 2025.
The event aimed to address rising groundwater concerns due to industrial expansion and explore sustainable solutions. Key speakers included Smt Kalpana Agarwal, IAS; Shri Manohar Singh Rathore, Regional Director, CGWB Rajasthan; Shri Rajan Dushyant and Shri Krishna Gopal Kaushik, President, Neemrana Industries Association along with officials and industry representatives. Discussions focused on water conservation strategies, rainwater harvesting, and regulating groundwater use. The event emphasized collaboration between industries and the government to ensure long-term water sustainability in Neemrana. It also focuses on how to improve the nearby lakes nearby so that lake water is maintained year on year improving “blue water” evaporation into the atmosphere.
