HR-Conclave 2014- Recruitment Trends and Skilling Students
HR-Conclave, an Annual Event of NU, was organised at its campus on September 20, 2014. The theme for this year’s event was “Recruitment Trends and Skilling Students.”
The eminent panellists included representatives from reputed organizations such as NASSCOM, Samsung and Newgen Software Technologies. As a call of the hour, the session mainly focussed on Recruitment trends in different sectors, preparing students for employability, role of universities/colleges and employability skills for the future.
The participants included delegates from Kokoku Intech, Neemrana, TIH, Mozilla, TCS and Training & Placement Officers of various institutions like Jay Pee University, Raffles University, United Group of Institutions, G.D. Goenka, N.I.E.C., KIIT University and many more institutes of repute from Delhi-NCR-Rajasthan.
The panellists expressed their views based on their rich industry experience. The discussion mainly highlighted the need for sharpening the employability skills and also the methods to be incorporated for the same. The major concern was on different trends of recruitment and the role of students in choosing the appropriate sector according to their skill sets and interest.
The audience had an intense discussion on all the major trends and skills involved in the recruitment process during this panel discussion.
