Activities of AIESEC-NU 2016-2017
AIESEC-NU was started in 2016 as an extension of the Jaipur chapter of AIESEC-India. AIESEC is global platform for youth to develop leadership skills. They run the Global Volunteering and Internship programmes that allow students to visit countries abroad as volunteers or interns. In 2016-2017, the AIESEC-NU activity was led by our 4th year student, Sourya Rudraand saw 12 successful student exchanges from NU. This year the following NU students are going on an internship in the summer of 2017.

They, together with the AIESECers from NU worked on a specially designed programme called ‘Worldview’. They spent a day in an introduction session and also participated in the talk by Air Commodore Kamal Singh (Retired) on Listening Skills which they enjoyed a lot. Next, they went trekking in the Aravalli hills in NU’s backyard.
After which it was back to work. They had to teach English at a couple of government-run schools in the Neemrana neighbourhood. After the ice-breaking session on the first day, they together with their NU buddies chalked out goals, plan and activities that can be performed with the school children which was then executed over the next few weeks. The school children on their part presented the interns with hand-made cards as a show of gratitude.

The international interns got an opportunity to be part of Ingenuity (Rocambolesque), the NU Annual Fest after which they travelled to Jaipur to participate in the Global Village – a cultural event organized by AIESEC.

As part of the programme, they explored India by backpacking. Starting from New Delhi they went on to Manali and Rishikesh. Holi was celebrated in Mathura and Vrindavan.
The final 3 days were spent together sharing and documenting all that was seen and learnt in this short but incredible internship.
