NU alumnus Samarth Gupta makes his mark globally with professional stints at international powerhouses
For Alumnus Samarth Gupta, NIIT University’s academics and well-rounded student experience prepared him for a flourishing career in the constantly evolving technology industry.
Samarth Gupta, BTech ECE, Class of 2017, said, “NU prepared me for the industry by building a strong foundation of skills that gave me the confidence to handle the dynamics of every role and project.”
He has handled several key roles with industry giants like Vodafone Ireland and General Electric in a short time. Now working as an Enabling Consultant with Deloitte, he reflects on his enriching journey at NIIT University, which built the foundation for his MBA in Ireland and career growth.
He further states, “NU’s curriculum with a broad spectrum of courses like Fiber Optics, Microcontrollers, Embedded Programming and Python enhanced my technical acumen.”
His initiative, be it in working on research projects or participating in cultural activities, held him in good stead. In fact, during his time at NU, he published and presented a research paper at an IEEE conference on Fiber Optic Sensors. He credits the extensive exposure he gained during his study for helping him to align his career with higher studies.
Exciting Journey Ahead
The multidisciplinary education at NU laid the foundation for Samarth’s next step. The exposure to management and business-related courses helped him build business acumen. It’s how he developed an interest in the business domain and decided to pursue it further.
His industry practice with Applied Solar Technologies India, Pvt Limited, gave him valuable exposure and strengthened his resolve to pursue his MBA in Project Management from the Dublin Business School.
Post his MBA, Samarth has completed multiple stints across different industries. He has worked with leadership teams of top organisations directly.
He says, “All my experiences have given me a varied expertise in business transformation, process optimisation, corporate strategy, project management, and inclusion and diversity.”
He is going places, building his expertise in areas that can support complex industrial projects. The journey that began at NU has taken his talent far and wide and straight to the top.
