NU TEAM – NIIT CODERS – Wins 3rd Prize at Smart India Hackathon 2017
The team of budding innovators – Simran Malhotra, Vinit Koshti, NVS Abhilash, Jeel Shah and Jagrit Kaushik was led by K Manoj Kumar. Along with a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-, the team was also awarded an EXTRA PRIZE MONEY of Rs. 1 lakh to continue the software development and buy the necessary software for their area.
Held by AICTE under the sponsorship of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Smart India Hackathon 2017 is considered as World’s Biggest Hackathon.
ABOUT ANVESH: Anvesh is a Smart Document Management and Information Retrieval System tool that improves work efficiency as the local “Google” for organizations in any sector. It is a dynamic search-engine which searches and fetches the required documents information in milliseconds with additional functionalities like assigning role-based access to the complete Information Retrieval System in an organization.
The Smart India Hackathon 2017 was launched on Nov 9, 2016 by Shri. Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister of HRD, Government of India and Chief Patron, Smart India Hackathon 2017. 29 government ministries and departments posed 598 problem statements to the participants. 7531 idea solutions were received from 2100+ technical institutions in India.
Two teams from NU’s made it to the GRAND FINALE with Manoj Kumar and team winning the 3rd Prize.
